Ever since Canon began adding video capabilities to it’s digital SLR (dSLR) camera’s interest in video has increased by consumers who have just been casual photographers, just look at the amount of videos on Youtube. I mean, you can now shoot both high resolution still photos and shoot high definition video on the same camera. And what’s even better, you can attach your own lens’s to the camera, adding more creativity in your videos. This is a far cry from having to shoot with a fixed lens, hand held video camera.
Using your video capable dSLR has become quite the rage amongst wedding photographers who have developed an entirely new product known as Photo Fusion. It’s the blending of photos and video into a video story of the day. It use to be where the videographer would get some of the wedding images from the photographer and incorporate a few stills in the video. However, this has changed with the advent of t dSLR camera. Now, photographers have jumped into the video arena. What do videographers think about this? I would venture to guess that they don’t like it since it’s taking some of the business away from them.
